Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.52%

Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed , Communication and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.52%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA: ORA ), which rose 9.06% or 1620 points to trade at 19500 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA: ORL ) added 5.84% or 10.0 points to end at 181.3 and Poalim (TA: POLI ) was up 1.26% or 32 points to 2572 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA: PRGO ), which lost 7.82% or 2260 points to trade at 26640 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA: MZTF ) declined 2.13% or 143 points to end at 6567 and Nice Ltd (TA: NICE ) shed 2.04% or 830 points to 39780.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 226 to 138 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.18% or 0.12 to $67.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.42% or 0.30 to hit $72.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1221.60 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.23% to 3.6871, while EUR/ILS fell 0.10% to 4.2665.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 95.16.
