Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.71%
Credit: © Reuters. – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed , Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.71%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE: BEZQ ), which rose 4.06% or 10.1 points to trade at 259.0 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDRp ) added 2.18% or 23 points to end at 1079 and Delek Group (TASE: DLEKG ) was up 1.47% or 930 points to 64000 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ), which lost 8.24% or 272 points to trade at 3029 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TASE: OPK ) declined 3.81% or 26 points to end at 658 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE: TSEM ) shed 3.74% or 212 points to 5460.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 247 to 140 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.55% or 1.36 to $51.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.99% or 1.24 to hit $61.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 8.55 to trade at $1339.75 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.12% to 3.5829, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 4.0525.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.810.
