Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.98%
Credit: © Reuters. – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking , Technology and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.98%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA: BEZQ ), which rose 2.05% or 5.0 points to trade at 249.0 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA: ORL ) added 0.73% or 1.3 points to end at 179.9 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA: ISRAp ) was up 0.57% or 0.2 points to 35.3 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Paz Oil (TA: PZOL ), which lost 2.26% or 1170 points to trade at 50500 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA: TEVA ) declined 2.02% or 109 points to end at 5286 and Melisron (TA: MLSR ) shed 1.76% or 310 points to 17310.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 285 to 112 and 24 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $70.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1282.05 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.19% to 3.5884, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.0172.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.297.
