Israel shares lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.34%
Credit: © Reuters. – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance , Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.34%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA: ORA ), which rose 0.96% or 200 points to trade at 21100 at the close. Mazor Robotics (TA: MZOR ) added 0.28% or 30 points to end at 10860 and OPKO Health Inc (TA: OPK ) was up 0.28% or 4 points to 1413 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA: TSEM ), which lost 5.70% or 362 points to trade at 5988 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA: ILCO ) declined 3.71% or 4100 points to end at 106500 and Delek Drilling LP (TA: DEDRp ) shed 3.40% or 38 points to 1079.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 251 to 130 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.40% or 0.21 to $53.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.91% or 0.56 to hit $62.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1243.80 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.25% to 3.7334, while EUR/ILS rose 0.24% to 4.2385.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.833.
