Italy shares higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.45%

Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.45%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Moncler SpA (MI: MONC ), which rose 3.23% or 0.83 points to trade at 26.55 at the close. Snam (MI: SRG ) added 1.94% or 0.069 points to end at 3.634 and Buzzi Unicem (MI: BZU ) was up 1.90% or 0.39 points to 20.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI: UBI ), which lost 2.59% or 0.1060 points to trade at 3.9890 in late trade. Recordati (MI: RECI ) declined 2.20% or 0.68 points to end at 30.19 and Bper Banca SpA (MI: EMII ) shed 1.79% or 0.084 points to 4.608.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 215 to 146 and 25 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.83% or 0.49 to $59.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $63.08 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 10.10 to trade at $1325.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.2267, while EUR/GBP rose 0.21% to 0.8881.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 90.18.
