Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI), which rose 1.94% or 0.074 points to trade at 3.890 at the close. Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 1.83% or 0.45 points to end at 25.08 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 1.69% or 0.35 points to 21.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A2A (MI:A2), which lost 2.97% or 0.041 points to trade at 1.339 in late trade. Saipem (MI:SPMI) declined 2.96% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.4264 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) shed 2.65% or 0.0220 points to 0.8080.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 198 to 155 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.65% or 0.83 to $51.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.94% or 1.03 to hit $54.15 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1258.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.0665, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.48.
