Italy shares lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.47%

Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology , Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.47%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI: CPRI ), which rose 1.56% or 0.10 points to trade at 6.86 at the close. Italgas SpA (MI: IG ) added 1.30% or 0.060 points to end at 4.689 and Saipem SpA (MI: SPMI ) was up 1.28% or 0.0590 points to 4.6620 in late trade.

Biggest losers included STMicroelectronics (MI: STM ), which lost 3.91% or 0.540 points to trade at 13.270 in late trade. Bper Banca SpA (MI: EMII ) declined 3.44% or 0.121 points to end at 3.394 and CNH Industrial NV (MI: CNHI ) shed 2.44% or 0.232 points to 9.262.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 217 to 149 and 17 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.38% or 0.24 to $63.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.55% or 0.40 to hit $73.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1231.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1397, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8752.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.22.
