Mexico shares higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.34%
Credit: © Reuters. – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare , Consumer Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 0.34%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Cemex SAB de CV (MX: CMXCPO ), which rose 4.37% or 0.550 points to trade at 13.150 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX: KIMBERA ) added 3.82% or 1.190 points to end at 32.370 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: ALPEKA ) was up 1.98% or 0.560 points to 28.870 in late trade.

Biggest losers included VOLARIS A (MX: VOLARA ), which lost 2.54% or 0.27 points to trade at 10.37 in late trade. Gruma SAB de CV (MX: GRUMAB ) declined 1.45% or 3.45 points to end at 234.03 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: ALSEA ) shed 1.28% or 0.850 points to 65.800.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 167 to 156 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.67% or 8.50 to $1260.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 3.98% or 2.71 to hit $70.79 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.59% or 1.93 to trade at $76.48 a barrel.

USD/MXN was up 0.20% to 19.9318, while EUR/MXN fell 0.21% to 23.2231.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 94.34.
