Mexico shares higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.57%
Credit: © Reuters. – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services , Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.57% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX: LIVEPOLC1 ), which rose 2.36% or 3.22 points to trade at 139.67 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX: LABB ) added 2.20% or 0.480 points to end at 22.280 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX: GFNORTEO ) was up 1.87% or 2.160 points to 117.690 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX: TLVACPO ), which lost 4.86% or 3.79 points to trade at 74.21 in late trade. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX: ASURB ) declined 1.73% or 6.35 points to end at 359.92 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX: LALAB ) shed 1.54% or 0.47 points to 30.02.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 157 to 126 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.06% or 14.50 to $1348.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.08% or 0.71 to hit $66.22 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $70.46 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.64% to 18.4898, while EUR/MXN fell 0.33% to 22.9862.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 88.87.
