Mexico shares higher at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC up 0.66% – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms Services , Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.66%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: BIMBOA ), which rose 5.73% or 2.080 points to trade at 38.400 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX: LABB ) added 3.16% or 0.420 points to end at 13.700 and America Movil SAB de CV (MX: AMXL ) was up 2.76% or 0.380 points to 14.170 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: MEXCHEM ), which lost 4.00% or 2.450 points to trade at 58.780 in late trade. Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: ALPEKA ) declined 2.15% or 0.630 points to end at 28.660 and Becle SA (MX: CUERVO ) shed 1.92% or 0.590 points to 30.190.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 141 to 116 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.51% or 6.30 to $1234.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.31% or 0.21 to hit $67.03 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.50 to trade at $76.67 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.62% to 19.4873, while EUR/MXN fell 0.77% to 22.1586.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.39.
