Mexico shares lower at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC down 0.82%
Credit: © Reuters. – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services , Industrials and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.82% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX: LABB ), which rose 8.03% or 1.010 points to trade at 13.590 at the close. Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX: ELEKTRA ) added 6.71% or 53.86 points to end at 857.13 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX: TLVACPO ) was up 5.80% or 3.14 points to 57.28 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX: GAPB ), which lost 6.28% or 10.91 points to trade at 162.90 in late trade. Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (MX: BBAJIOO ) declined 5.62% or 2.370 points to end at 39.800 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX: IENOVA ) shed 5.10% or 4.36 points to 81.05.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 153 to 131 and 16 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 7.20 to $1225.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.37% or 0.92 to hit $66.12 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.72% or 1.33 to trade at $76.01 a barrel.

USD/MXN was down 0.12% to 20.0382, while EUR/MXN fell 0.41% to 22.7235.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 96.76.
