Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.59%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials , Insurance and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.59%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taqa Morocco SA (CS: TQM ), which rose 4.57% or 38.90 points to trade at 889.90 at the close. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS: LHM ) added 3.23% or 50 points to end at 1600 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) was up 2.76% or 4.00 points to 149.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Med Paper (CS: PAP ), which lost 4.89% or 1.14 points to trade at 22.15 in late trade. AFMA SA (CS: AFM ) declined 2.60% or 27 points to end at 1010 and Afric Industries Sa (CS: AFIND ) shed 2.55% or 7.00 points to 268.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.97% or 2.38 to $57.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.81% or 2.67 to hit $67.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1203.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.20% to 10.7840, while USD/MAD fell 0.41% to 9.5534.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 96.96.
