Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.94%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Food Producers & Processors , Pharmaceutical Industry and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.94%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ), which rose 9.14% or 5.85 points to trade at 69.85 at the close. Cosumar (CS: CSMR ) added 7.36% or 12 points to end at 173 and Fenie Brossette (CS: FBR ) was up 5.27% or 4.95 points to 98.95 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SMI (CS: SMI ), which lost 5.98% or 135 points to trade at 2122 in late trade. CDM (CS: CDM ) declined 5.88% or 32 points to end at 512 and Sonasid (CS: SOND ) shed 4.92% or 26 points to 510.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $68.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $72.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.00 to trade at $1229.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.25% to 11.0630, while USD/MAD fell 0.33% to 9.4484.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 94.36.
