Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.04%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure , Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.04%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS: DLM ), which rose 7.08% or 12.75 points to trade at 192.90 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ) added 4.09% or 0.87 points to end at 22.12 and CDM (CS: CDM ) was up 3.33% or 15 points to 465 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Unimer (CS: UMR ), which lost 5.87% or 10.20 points to trade at 163.60 in late trade. Jet Contractors (CS: JET ) declined 4.03% or 5.80 points to end at 138.20 and Med Paper (CS: PAP ) shed 1.88% or 0.59 points to 30.71.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.19% or 0.58 to $49.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.39% or 0.72 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.66% or 20.57 to trade at $1256.97 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.19% to 10.9060, while USD/MAD fell 0.30% to 9.7949.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 97.54.
