Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.09%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance , Distributors and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.09%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Zellidja S.A (CS: ZELI ), which rose 5.99% or 8.05 points to trade at 142.45 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ) added 4.35% or 0.98 points to end at 23.50 and SMI (CS: SMI ) was up 2.28% or 63 points to 2825 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Taslif (CS: TSF1 ), which lost 5.99% or 1.76 points to trade at 27.64 in late trade. Maroc Leasing (CS: MLE ) declined 5.61% or 22.00 points to end at 370.00 and BMCI (CS: BMCI ) shed 3.33% or 20 points to 580.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.18% or 0.56 to $47.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.15% or 0.58 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 5.88 to trade at $1224.78 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 10.8030, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.9396.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 99.51.
