Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.14%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals , Holding Companies and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.14% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS: ADI ), which rose 6.26% or 4 points to trade at 66 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 5.99% or 36 points to end at 628 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) was up 4.33% or 5.25 points to 126.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Aluminum mar 1l (CS: ALU ), which lost 5.98% or 64 points to trade at 998 in late trade. Med Paper (CS: PAP ) declined 5.67% or 1.10 points to end at 18.30 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS: DLM ) shed 5.65% or 10.00 points to 167.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.76% or 1.74 to $44.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.44% or 1.64 to hit $46.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.15 to trade at $1342.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.9130, while USD/MAD fell 0.14% to 9.7168.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.34.
