Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.49%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals , Pharmaceutical Industry and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.49%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS: ADI ), which rose 7.74% or 12 points to trade at 164 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) added 6.31% or 8.90 points to end at 150.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS: ZELI ) was up 3.70% or 5.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS: NKL ), which lost 6.34% or 3.86 points to trade at 57.04 in late trade. CDM (CS: CDM ) declined 5.33% or 26 points to end at 470 and Disway SA (CS: DWY ) shed 3.81% or 15.00 points to 379.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.25% or 1.09 to $47.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.79% or 0.92 to hit $50.43 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1203.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.7090, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 10.0600.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 101.41.
