Morocco shares higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.69%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport , Mining and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.69%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CTM (CS: CTM ), which rose 7.88% or 48.00 points to trade at 657.00 at the close. Taslif (CS: TSF1 ) added 5.96% or 1.67 points to end at 29.67 and Miniere Touissit (CS: CMT ) was up 5.43% or 74 points to 1436 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bmce Bank (CS: BMCE ), which lost 4.38% or 9.55 points to trade at 208.45 in late trade. Afriquia Gaz (CS: AGAZ1 ) declined 3.21% or 85 points to end at 2560 and Jet Contractors (CS: JET ) shed 2.89% or 5.00 points to 168.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.66% or 0.89 to $52.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.55% or 0.88 to hit $55.94 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.83% or 9.55 to trade at $1161.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.41% to 10.5930, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 10.1705.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 103.18.
