Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.05%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Beverage , Insurance and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.05%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ), which rose 5.09% or 0.89 points to trade at 18.39 at the close. Managem (CS: MNG ) added 4.87% or 78 points to end at 1679 and Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ) was up 2.98% or 0.70 points to 24.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Saham Assurance (CS: SAH ), which lost 6.86% or 109 points to trade at 1480 in late trade. Brasseries Du Maroc (CS: SBM ) declined 4.76% or 150 points to end at 3000 and Micro Data SA (CS: MIC ) shed 2.44% or 6.90 points to 276.10.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.03 to $68.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.69% or 0.51 to hit $74.51 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.40 to trade at $1318.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.16% to 11.2440, while USD/MAD rose 0.15% to 9.2745.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 91.22.
