Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.06%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance , Forestry & Paper and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.06%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cosumar (CS: CSMR ), which rose 2.87% or 5 points to trade at 179 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 2.67% or 20 points to end at 770 and BCP (CS: BCP ) was up 1.95% or 5.20 points to 272.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Wafa Assurance (CS: WASS ), which lost 9.52% or 400 points to trade at 3800 in late trade. Saham Assurance (CS: SAH ) declined 6.07% or 93 points to end at 1440 and Taslif (CS: TSF1 ) shed 5.96% or 1.67 points to 26.33.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.95% or 1.98 to $65.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.11% or 1.53 to hit $70.93 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.43% or 17.20 to trade at $1183.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.01% to 10.8620, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.5815.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.64.
