Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.35%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper , Chemicals and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.35% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delta Holding S.A (CS: DHO ), which rose 3.80% or 1.17 points to trade at 31.97 at the close. Label Vie (CS: LBV ) added 3.54% or 65 points to end at 1900 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ) was up 2.90% or 0.40 points to 14.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ), which lost 9.97% or 3.51 points to trade at 31.68 in late trade. Med Paper (CS: PAP ) declined 5.44% or 1.21 points to end at 21.05 and Miniere Touissit (CS: CMT ) shed 2.59% or 35 points to 1315.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.19% or 1.05 to $49.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.56% or 0.89 to hit $57.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.70 to trade at $1289.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.32% to 10.8779, while USD/MAD fell 0.30% to 9.4877.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 95.308.
