Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.40%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper , Real Estate and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.40%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were S2M (CS: S2M ), which rose 8.21% or 19.95 points to trade at 263.00 at the close. SMI (CS: SMI ) added 6.00% or 192 points to end at 3393 and Zellidja S.A (CS: ZELI ) was up 5.99% or 7.90 points to 139.75 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ), which lost 5.99% or 45 points to trade at 705 in late trade. Colorado (CS: COL ) declined 5.88% or 5.00 points to end at 80.00 and Douja Prom Addoha (CS: ADH ) shed 3.93% or 1.41 points to 34.51.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.09% or 0.05 to $57.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.27% or 0.17 to hit $63.40 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.60 to trade at $1266.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.20% to 11.1570, while USD/MAD fell 0.23% to 9.4515.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 93.09.
