Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.41%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance , Forestry & Paper and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.41% to hit a new 3-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS: SNP ), which rose 7.95% or 50.00 points to trade at 679.00 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ) added 5.93% or 42 points to end at 749 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ) was up 3.41% or 2.63 points to 79.83 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Taqa Morocco SA (CS: TQM ), which lost 3.13% or 30.00 points to trade at 930.00 in late trade. Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ) declined 3.11% or 0.77 points to end at 24.01 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ) shed 2.79% or 0.49 points to 17.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.84% or 0.61 to $71.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.55% or 0.44 to hit $79.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1290.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 11.0970, while USD/MAD rose 0.41% to 9.4819.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 94.04.
