Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.45%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Distributors , Pharmaceutical Industry and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.45% to hit a new 3-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Hps (CS: HPS ), which rose 5.68% or 104.00 points to trade at 1934.00 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS: SNA ) added 4.60% or 0.76 points to end at 17.28 and Salafin (CS: SLF ) was up 2.86% or 30 points to 1080 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS: STR ), which lost 9.99% or 3.87 points to trade at 34.85 in late trade. Label Vie (CS: LBV ) declined 6.38% or 150 points to end at 2200 and Wafa Assurance (CS: WASS ) shed 4.89% or 239 points to 4651.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.54% or 1.05 to $67.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $77.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was unchanged 0.00% to 11.0830, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.4940.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 94.00.
