Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.50%
Credit: © Reuters. – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Construction & Building Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.50%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were SMI (CS: SMI ), which rose 9.08% or 129 points to trade at 1549 at the close. BMCI (CS: BMCI ) added 3.00% or 21 points to end at 712 and Micro Data SA (CS: MIC ) was up 2.88% or 8.00 points to 286.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS: DLM ), which lost 5.99% or 6.95 points to trade at 109.05 in late trade. Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ) declined 4.84% or 2.09 points to end at 41.10 and Sonasid (CS: SOND ) shed 4.83% or 20 points to 390.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.93% or 2.12 to $51.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.13% or 1.96 to hit $60.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1315.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.07% to 10.8373, while USD/MAD fell 0.04% to 9.5426.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.227.
