Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.68%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Beverage and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.68%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS: PAP ), which rose 8.29% or 1.74 points to trade at 22.74 at the close. Saham Assurance (CS: SAH ) added 5.06% or 67 points to end at 1390 and Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) was up 2.13% or 2.95 points to 141.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ), which lost 7.33% or 2.81 points to trade at 35.50 in late trade. Oulmes (CS: OULM ) declined 5.91% or 91 points to end at 1449 and Involys (CS: INV ) shed 4.93% or 6.40 points to 123.50.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.73% or 0.94 to $55.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.86% or 0.53 to hit $62.07 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.75 to trade at $1326.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.9154, while USD/MAD rose 0.33% to 9.5293.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.208.
