Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Holding Companies and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 5.97% or 6.90 points to trade at 122.35 at the close. Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU) added 5.26% or 50 points to end at 1000 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 5.04% or 23.00 points to 479.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 5.94% or 76 points to trade at 1203 in late trade. Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) declined 5.66% or 14.40 points to end at 240.00 and Snep (CS:SNP) shed 4.87% or 4.25 points to 83.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.50% or 0.70 to $45.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.45% or 0.69 to hit $46.92 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1328.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.8540, while USD/MAD fell 0.24% to 9.8000.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 96.56.
