Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.18%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities , Mining and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.18%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS: CRS ), which rose 7.99% or 1.85 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ) added 6.00% or 45 points to end at 790 and Alliances (CS: ADI ) was up 5.03% or 9 points to 190 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Zellidja S.A (CS: ZELI ), which lost 3.79% or 5.00 points to trade at 127.00 in late trade. Promopharm S.A. (CS: PRO ) declined 3.61% or 49 points to end at 1310 and BMCI (CS: BMCI ) shed 3.54% or 23 points to 626.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 22 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.19% or 0.54 to $46.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.24% or 0.59 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.61 to trade at $1217.49 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.13% to 10.9800, while USD/MAD rose 0.08% to 9.6410.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.62.
