Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.29%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Construction & Building Materials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.29%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS: BMCI ), which rose 5.99% or 36 points to trade at 637 at the close. S2M (CS: S2M ) added 5.68% or 12.60 points to end at 234.60 and Zellidja S.A (CS: ZELI ) was up 4.05% or 5.25 points to 135.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ), which lost 5.08% or 50 points to trade at 937 in late trade. Micro Data SA (CS: MIC ) declined 4.30% or 8.90 points to end at 198.00 and Aluminum mar 1l (CS: ALU ) shed 3.85% or 50 points to 1250.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.21% or 0.59 to $48.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.97% or 0.50 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.65 to trade at $1244.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.27% to 10.7800, while USD/MAD fell 0.41% to 9.9673.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 99.49.
