Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Banking and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 4.99% or 4.49 points to trade at 94.49 at the close. SMI (CS:SMI) added 4.04% or 113 points to end at 2913 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was up 2.17% or 31 points to 1460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlanta (CS:ATL), which lost 2.39% or 1.30 points to trade at 53.00 in late trade. Attijariwafa Bank (CS:ATW) declined 2.33% or 10.00 points to end at 419.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 2.10% or 0.65 points to 30.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.73% or 0.37 to $51.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.45% or 0.24 to hit $53.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 7.21 to trade at $1260.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.9410, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.7416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.86.
