Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.52%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities , Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.52%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS: SNP ), which rose 9.99% or 46.70 points to trade at 514.20 at the close. Alliances (CS: ADI ) added 9.97% or 19 points to end at 209 and Centrale Danone (CS: CDA ) was up 5.98% or 47 points to 837 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lydec (CS: LYD ), which lost 8.82% or 60.00 points to trade at 620.00 in late trade. Lesieur Cristal (CS: LESU ) declined 5.26% or 9.00 points to end at 162.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ) shed 3.83% or 3.60 points to 90.40.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.02% or 0.47 to $46.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.01% or 0.49 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.89% or 10.79 to trade at $1228.09 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 11.0310, while USD/MAD fell 0.28% to 9.6296.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 94.99.
