Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.75%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals , Forestry & Paper and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.75%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS: BMCI ), which rose 6.00% or 35 points to trade at 615 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS: IBC ) added 6.00% or 3.30 points to end at 58.30 and Fenie Brossette (CS: FBR ) was up 6.00% or 6.00 points to 106.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Snep (CS: SNP ), which lost 5.30% or 4.03 points to trade at 72.00 in late trade. Med Paper (CS: PAP ) declined 3.57% or 0.50 points to end at 13.50 and Bmce Bank (CS: BMCE ) shed 2.83% or 6.00 points to 206.00.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 26 to 21 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.12% or 1.23 to $38.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.62% or 1.07 to hit $39.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.24% or 15.20 to trade at $1237.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was up 0.13% to 10.9080, while USD/MAD fell 0.34% to 9.6824.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 95.37.
