Morocco shares lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 1.06%

Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining , Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.06%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS: JET ), which rose 9.60% or 14.90 points to trade at 170.00 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS: PRO ) added 5.99% or 78 points to end at 1380 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS: SBM ) was up 5.98% or 98 points to 1736 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SMI (CS: SMI ), which lost 6.00% or 171 points to trade at 2679 in late trade. Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS: NKL ) declined 5.98% or 3.32 points to end at 52.14 and Lafarge Ciments (CS: LAC ) shed 3.58% or 73 points to 1965.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 18 and 14 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.13% or 0.53 to $46.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.64% or 0.31 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1271.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.44% to 10.9200, while USD/MAD rose 0.64% to 9.6851.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 94.74.
