Netherlands shares higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.21%

Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Galapagos NV (AS: GLPG ), which rose 2.96% or 2.460 points to trade at 85.660 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) added 1.60% or 2.70 points to end at 171.90 and Aalberts Industries NV (AS: AALB ) was up 1.24% or 0.54 points to 44.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV (AS: BOSN ), which lost 1.64% or 0.43 points to trade at 25.85 in late trade. SBM Offshore NV (AS: SBMO ) declined 1.03% or 0.14 points to end at 13.97 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ) shed 0.70% or 0.185 points to 26.205.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 58 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.48% to 12.66 a new 1-month low.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.35% or 0.84 to $61.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.99% or 0.65 to hit $64.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.80 to trade at $1321.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.2329, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 89.94.
