Netherlands shares higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.28%

Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms , Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Altice NV (AS: ATCA ), which rose 7.20% or 0.50 points to trade at 7.47 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) added 1.54% or 2.20 points to end at 145.40 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS: UNBP ) was up 1.24% or 2.70 points to 220.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ), which lost 1.83% or 0.480 points to trade at 25.720 in late trade. SBM Offshore NV (AS: SBMO ) declined 0.81% or 0.12 points to end at 14.04 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ) shed 0.70% or 0.17 points to 24.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 62 to 56 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.34% to 11.73.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.64% or 0.37 to $57.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.01% or 0.63 to hit $63.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.92% or 11.80 to trade at $1265.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1813, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8784.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.36.
