Netherlands shares higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.64%
Credit: © Reuters. – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.64%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS: VOPA ), which rose 2.82% or 1.16 points to trade at 42.32 at the close. Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS: AD ) added 2.25% or 0.426 points to end at 19.386 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ) was up 1.72% or 0.440 points to 26.000 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Akzo Nobel (AS: AKZO ), which lost 2.17% or 1.70 points to trade at 76.78 in late trade. Altice NV (AS: ATCA ) declined 1.73% or 0.04 points to end at 2.33 and Randstad NV (AS: RAND ) shed 1.16% or 0.53 points to 45.24.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 66 to 58 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.99% to 14.58.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.66% or 0.49 to $74.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.93% or 0.78 to hit $84.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1191.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
