Netherlands shares lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.02%

Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services , Technology Hardware & Equipment and Construction & Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ), which rose 3.91% or 0.87 points to trade at 23.11 at the close. NN Group NV (AS: NN ) added 1.90% or 0.71 points to end at 38.05 and Aegon NV (AS: AEGN ) was up 1.72% or 0.094 points to 5.556 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS: VOPA ), which lost 2.69% or 1.13 points to trade at 40.90 in late trade. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS: PHG ) declined 1.62% or 0.56 points to end at 33.73 and ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) shed 0.71% or 1.10 points to 153.64.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 54 and 10 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 2.61% to 14.22 a new 1-month low.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.51% or 0.93 to $60.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.65% or 1.19 to hit $70.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.10 to trade at $1224.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1404, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8702.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 96.20.
