Netherlands shares lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.60%

Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials , Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.60% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS: KPN ), which rose 2.36% or 0.055 points to trade at 2.386 at the close. Wolters Kluwer (AS: WLSNc ) added 1.76% or 0.90 points to end at 52.00 and Relx PLC (AS: REL ) was up 1.41% or 0.240 points to 17.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ), which lost 5.83% or 1.340 points to trade at 21.635 in late trade. ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) declined 3.65% or 5.40 points to end at 142.46 and Randstad NV (AS: RAND ) shed 3.53% or 1.51 points to 41.32.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 48 and 14 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 10.86% to 18.88 a new 6-month high.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.73% or 1.15 to $67.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.23% or 0.94 to hit $77.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1231.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.1395, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 96.12.
