Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.25%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Diversified Financials , Healthcare Equipment & Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.25%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ), which rose 5.12% or 0.72 points to trade at 14.69 at the close. Aker ASA (OL: AKER ) added 2.91% or 17.0 points to end at 602.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL: TGS ) was up 2.17% or 5.9 points to 277.7 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 4.18% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.91 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) declined 2.74% or 7.00 points to end at 248.20 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) shed 1.48% or 0.74 points to 49.28.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 84 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.03% or 2.06 to $70.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.74% or 1.30 to hit $75.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.50 to trade at $1262.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.16% to 9.4690, while USD/NOK rose 0.11% to 8.1120.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 94.18.
