Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.45%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco , Utilities and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.45%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL: GSFO ), which rose 6.79% or 7.30 points to trade at 114.80 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) added 5.02% or 20.40 points to end at 426.60 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL: LSG ) was up 4.91% or 3.3 points to 69.7 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which lost 4.73% or 11.60 points to trade at 233.40 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL: DNB ) declined 0.85% or 1.4 points to end at 169.8 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) shed 0.55% or 0.27 points to 48.71.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 82 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.79% or 1.31 to $74.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.87% or 1.55 to hit $84.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.60 to trade at $1192.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 9.4411, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.1611.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.97.
