Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.46%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media , Auto & components and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.46%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Questerre Energy Corporation (OL: QEC ), which rose 7.19% or 0.52 points to trade at 7.75 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL: SBSTA ) added 4.51% or 11.0 points to end at 255.0 and BW LPG Ltd (OL: BWLPG ) was up 2.34% or 0.80 points to 35.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ), which lost 3.99% or 13.80 points to trade at 332.20 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) declined 1.31% or 2.2 points to end at 169.6 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFS ) shed 0.78% or 1.0 points to 127.8.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.30% or 0.85 to $64.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.46% or 0.35 to hit $75.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1304.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.09% to 9.5134, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.0800.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.55.
