Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.64%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies , Telecoms and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.64%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ), which rose 2.62% or 4.3 points to trade at 170.7 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ) added 2.32% or 1.60 points to end at 70.60 and DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) was up 1.80% or 0.27 points to 15.24 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 5.30% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.72 in late trade. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL: NOFI ) declined 1.03% or 0.95 points to end at 91.25 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) shed 0.78% or 1.90 points to 242.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 86 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.49% or 0.36 to $73.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.17% or 0.13 to hit $77.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 16.40 to trade at $1258.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.31% to 9.4829, while USD/NOK fell 0.43% to 8.1387.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.37.
