Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 1.04%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms , Media and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.04% to hit a new all time high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ), which rose 4.92% or 8.1 points to trade at 172.8 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) added 2.86% or 0.28 points to end at 10.07 and Schibsted ASA A (OL: SBSTA ) was up 2.62% or 5.4 points to 211.9 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ), which lost 1.01% or 0.85 points to trade at 82.90 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) declined 0.91% or 1.2 points to end at 130.6 and Storebrand ASA (OL: STB ) shed 0.80% or 0.55 points to 68.30.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 86 and 32 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.01% or 0.53 to $51.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.74% or 0.43 to hit $57.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.19 to trade at $1278.11 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.69% to 9.4811, while USD/NOK rose 0.33% to 8.0318.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 93.56.
