Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.47%

Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Technology Hardware & Equipment and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.47% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which rose 3.89% or 0.72 points to trade at 19.24 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) added 2.90% or 6.20 points to end at 220.20 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ) was up 2.73% or 8.40 points to 316.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 1.52% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.10 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL: SDRL ) declined 1.11% or 0.06 points to end at 5.33 and Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) shed 1.00% or 1.4 points to 138.1.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 72 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.58% or 0.27 to $45.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.73% or 0.36 to hit $48.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1227.90 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.4525, while USD/NOK rose 0.66% to 8.6492.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 98.97.
