Norway shares higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.54%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies , Technology Hardware & Equipment and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.54%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ), which rose 3.75% or 0.28 points to trade at 7.62 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) added 3.65% or 12.5 points to end at 354.9 and Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) was up 2.62% or 3.70 points to 144.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL: SDRL ), which lost 5.85% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.00 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) declined 2.04% or 4.8 points to end at 230.8 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) shed 0.88% or 0.45 points to 50.60.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 54 and 38 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.45% or 0.24 to $53.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.64% or 0.36 to hit $55.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.05 to trade at $1276.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.1104, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 8.5870.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.58.
