Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Energy and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 5.70% or 4.15 points to trade at 77.00 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 5.42% or 0.11 points to end at 2.04 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.51% or 0.26 points to 6.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 1.51% or 0.1 points to trade at 9.8 in late trade. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 1.49% or 0.5 points to end at 33.1 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 0.91% or 1.20 points to 130.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.79% or 0.38 to $48.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1274.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.2761, while USD/NOK rose 0.56% to 8.2263.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.69.
