Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 3.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 14.27% or 3.6 points to trade at 29.1 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 10.48% or 2.07 points to end at 21.82 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 9.12% or 2.69 points to 32.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which lost 3.67% or 0.3 points to trade at 8.4 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 1.08% or 1.50 points to end at 137.60 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) 0.00% or 0.00 points to 92.55.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 131 to 37 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.92% or 1.35 to $47.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.18% or 1.50 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.58% or 7.55 to trade at $1290.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.4349, while USD/NOK fell 0.14% to 8.3800.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 94.44.
