Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.03%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies , Materials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.03%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ), which rose 4.79% or 12.60 points to trade at 275.80 at the close. Aker ASA (OL: AKER ) added 4.54% or 25.0 points to end at 576.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL: AKSOL ) was up 1.94% or 0.89 points to 46.65 in late trade.

Biggest losers included P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ), which lost 2.46% or 10.80 points to trade at 428.60 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) declined 1.90% or 0.79 points to end at 40.76 and BW Offshore Ltd (OL: BWO ) shed 1.88% or 0.750 points to 39.100.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 79 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.19% or 0.62 to $51.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.72% or 0.44 to hit $60.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1291.25 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.12% to 9.7427, while USD/NOK rose 0.18% to 8.5541.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.760.
