Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.04%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.04%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which rose 2.07% or 0.75 points to trade at 37.04 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL: MHG ) added 1.21% or 2.10 points to end at 176.10 and SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) was up 1.19% or 4.60 points to 391.20 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which lost 9.98% or 30.00 points to trade at 270.70 in late trade. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL: NOFI ) declined 5.72% or 5.50 points to end at 90.70 and DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) shed 2.79% or 0.42 points to 14.66.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 72 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.05% or 1.40 to $69.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.73% or 1.27 to hit $74.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1311.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.6274, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 8.0618.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 92.51.
