Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.06%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media , Auto & components and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.06%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFS ), which rose 1.60% or 2.2 points to trade at 140.0 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) added 1.13% or 3.80 points to end at 339.60 and DnB ASA (OL: DNB ) was up 0.79% or 1.4 points to 173.1 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ), which lost 1.22% or 1.5 points to trade at 121.0 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL: SBSTA ) declined 1.13% or 3.5 points to end at 306.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) shed 1.10% or 0.54 points to 48.55.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 88 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.77% or 0.55 to $72.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.52 to hit $81.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 11.50 to trade at $1187.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.4988, while USD/NOK rose 0.33% to 8.1378.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 94.42.
